Austin’s charitable fund
This is a charitable fund, which has been established by the Austin Family, in order to support and benefit the local community. Each year a local charity is selected by the Austin Family, as the beneficiary of the fund. The Company donates a proportion of its annual profits to the fund and any money raised during the year through events such as the Harwood Park Memorial Service and Christmas Carol Services.
A wide range of causes can benefit, with the primary focus on meeting social needs, such as:
- The welfare of disadvantaged children and families
- Providing activities and opportunities for young people
- Improving access to education,training and employment
- The quality of life of older people

Our 2026 supported charity is Garden House Hospice Care
Austin’s are delighted to announce that our Charity of the Year for 2026 is Garden House Hospice Care.
Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist palliative and end of life care for patients and families across North Hertfordshire and surrounding villages. Their compassionate team supports adults living with life-limiting illnesses, helping them to live well for as long as possible, with dignity, comfort, and choice at the heart of everything they do.
Their care extends beyond medical support and includes:
- Inpatient care: providing specialist symptom management and round-the-clock nursing support within their hospice.
- Community care: supporting patients in their own homes or care homes, working close with families and local healthcare professionals.
- Wellbeing and rehabilitation services: helping people maintain independence, manage symptoms, and improve quality of life.
- Family and carer support: offering guidance, practical advice, and emotional support throughout a loved one’s illness.
- Bereavement support: providing counselling and groups for adults and children coping with loss.
- Dementia support: including dedicated services for those living with dementia and their families.
