Welcome to Austin’s Stotfold cemetery chapel
Set in a peaceful rural location on the edge of Stotfold, Hertfordshire, this historic Victorian chapel, built in 1895, was originally used for local burial services. Over time, it fell into disrepair and served only as storage.
In 2012, Stotfold Town Council entrusted Austin’s Family Funeral Directors with its restoration. Skilled craftsmen carefully refurbished the brickwork, wooden ceiling, and original pews, returning the chapel to its former beauty.
Reopened in September 2013, the chapel now provides a dignified setting for funeral services, seating up to 50 mourners. Overlooking a beautiful tree-lined avenue, it serves families whose loved ones are laid to rest in Stotfold Cemetery or cremated locally.
