Harwood Park crematorium & memorial gardens

Harwood Park Crematorium and Memorial Gardens is situated on the south side of Stevenage and is ideally located to serve funerals arranged at any of our offices. It is set amidst colourful and well-tended memorial gardens and surrounded by peaceful open countryside.

Harwood Park is owned and operated by the Austin Family. It was opened in 1997 by the then Managing Director John Harwood Austin who had campaigned tirelessly for a crematorium to serve the people of Stevenage and the surrounding areas. 

John was passionate about designing the crematorium with the needs of the mourners paramount. He also wanted the gardens to be a place of tranquillity and reflection where families would always feel welcome. The next generation of the Austin family are proud to run the crematorium in keeping with John’s vision and passion.
