We were delighted to hold an information event for our 2014 charity Cancer Hair Care at Harwood Park in November. Founder Jasmin Gupta gave a talk on issues that face all those going through treatment for cancer – when their hair falls out.
For most women and young people, dealing with hair loss is a major challenge and Jasmin talked passionately about things that many of us take for granted. Facial expressions when you have no eyebrows, a windy day when you have a wig on and making sure your headscarf matches your outfits!
It was a heart warming and emotional evening, with many inspired by the work that Cancer Hair Care does. Claire Austin took on the role of model for the evening sporting a variety of different ways to wear a headscarf and hairpiece.
